The 3rd Grade had a wonderful day celebrating the first day of spring. We began the day by writing poems about what spring means to us. The poems are now displayed in the main hall of the small school. Next, we made pinhole projectors and went outside to watch the solar eclipse. We aimed the plate with the pinhole at the sun and used another plate for a screen. The sun shined through the pinhole, projecting the eclipse onto the screen plate. It looked really cool. We also got to observe the eclipse through special polarized sun watching glasses. Later, we ventured to the store for some ice cream and took a walk to the nearby hill, for some relay races! The weather was great and we had a marvelous time welcoming spring!
