IAS is accredited by three unique governing bodies: the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), AdvancED, and the Polish Ministry of Education (MENIS). We leverage the expertise of each organization to provide an aligned curriculum across Elementary, Middle and High School programs. The IB Diploma Program (DP) is offered at the High School level, while our Elementary and Middle Schools are designed to prepare students to meet the IBO standards.

1) International Baccalaureate Organisation

IAS has been offering the IB Diploma Program (DP) since 2006. The DP curriculum consists of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay. Through the DP core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service. As part of its ongoing accreditation, IAS faculty take part in professional development trainings regularly and the school submits self studies to the IBO showing a constant process of improvement.

2) AdvancED Accredidation

AdvancED is a leading non-profit, non-governmental organization that accredits over 34,000 schools throughout the United States and internationally. Formed in 2006 by a consolidation of the Pre-K-12 divisions of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI)—and expanded through the addition of the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) in 2012—the AdvancED team of inspectors ensure school improvement through rigorous on-site external reviews. IAS received its most current review in 2016 and won full accreditation status through 2021.

3) Polish Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education oversees “education and upbringing” within Poland and was created by the transformation of the Ministry of Education and Science. Its inspectors oversee issues related to preschool education, general secondary education, special and vocational education, external examinations, extracurricular programs and instructional strategies. Given this accreditation, IAS is authorized to conduct state exams in the 3rd and 6th grades organized by the Regional Examination Commission. Polish students also have the possibility to take and pass their high school exam, the “Polska Matura”.

4) CollegeBoard

IAS is an official SAT testing center, providing examinations for students who are interested in attending university in the United States (SAT scores are a requirement for students in the U.S.).
